Festus, MO : Festus man dead after crash caused by a medical problem on Wednesday, September 17, 2014

A man is dead after suffering a medical problem and crashing his car this morning, the Missouri Highway Patrol said. Shane Hunt, 36, was northbound on Route CC north of Pleasant Heights Drive when he lost control of his Toyota Paseo. The car veered off the road and struck a tree. Hunt wore a seat belt, a crash report says. Hunt, of Festus, was pronounced dead at Mercy Hospital Jefferson about 8:30 a.m. The accident report does not say if he died from injuries suffered in the crash or from the undisclosed medical condition.
