Van Wert County, OH : 2 injured in wrong-way crash on US 30 on Saturday, 13th October 2018

Two men were injured in a wrong-way crash on U.S. 30 in Van Wert County this morning, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

Around 12:23 a.m., Oscar Garcia Barrios, 29, of Grover Hill, Ohio, was driving west on U.S. 30 in the eastbound lanes, the highway patrol said in a statement.

Barrios collided with a car going east that was driven by Kwi Cho, 31 of Dublin, Ohio, the statement said. It said Cho was trapped inside the car and had to be extricated.

Both men were taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne with serious injuries, the highway patrol said. It said U.S. 30 was closed during the crash investigation and cleanup.

The crash remains under investigation.
