PELAHATCHIE, MS : Coroner identifies man who died in I-20 wreck on Wednesday, 26th October 2016

The Rankin County coroner has identified the victim killed in a single vehicle accident on Interstate 20 Wednesday morning.

Michael Johnson from Keithville, Louisiana died in the crash that happened around 4:30 a.m. on I-20 West near the Pelahatchie exit.

Johnson was a passenger in a maroon SUV that ran off the highway road and into a wooded area.

Two others were injured in the crash and taken to the hospital.

One lane of traffic was closed while officials investigated and removed the wreckage.

The cause of the accident is being investigated.
