Batavia woman gets 4 years for 4th DUI, probation violation - Chicago Daily Herald

A 32-year-old Batavia woman was sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to her fourth DUI, prosecutors said.Jeanette Baum, of the 0-99 block of North Lincoln Avenue, was more than twice the legal intoxication threshold the morning of Nov. 27, 2012, when she crashed her car into a utility box after dropping her child off at school, according to prosecutors.Baum also was on probation for a drug charge at the time.Kane County prosecutors said Baum had a blood alcohol concentration of .19 after the crash near North Avenue and North Jefferson Street in Batavia. She failed field sobriety tests.Prosecutors said her three previous DUI arrests occurred between 1997 and 2007 in Kane and DuPage counties. She also was on probation for a 2011 conviction for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
