Brookhaven, MS : Belhaven baseball player killed in vehicle accident on I-55 in Lincoln County, January 24, 2016

The family of Belhaven baseball player, Devin McCann, is mourning his loss Sunday.

MHP Corporal Brandon Fortenberry said McCann was killed in an auto accident.

We were told the accident happened on I-55 south around 5:30 a.m. Sunday near Brookhaven.

Fortenberry said McCann ran off the roadway when he over corrected and hit a guardrail.

The vehicle McCann was traveling in flipped and he was ejected.

Fortenberry said the accident is still under investigation.
