DERBY, KS : 1 in critical condition after collision near Derby near 63rd Street South and Grove on Wednesday, 27th March 2019

One person is dead following a rollover accident near Derby.

The accident happened around 7 p.m. on Wednesday night near 63rd Street South and Grove.

Authorities say a man was on the side of 63rd Street working on his disabled truck when another truck failed to stop and collided with the rear end of the vehicle, sending one vehicle into the ditch and causing the other to roll over.

The man who was working on his truck was transported to a hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries. A female passenger sitting inside the truck suffered "severe" injuries.
