Quincy, IL : Teen severely injured in truck and dirt bike crash on Saturday afternoon, October 29, 2016

The investigation continues into a crash involving a dirt bike and a truck Saturday afternoon at the intersection of North 60th and Ewbanks Road that sent a 14-year-old boy to Blessing Hospital with major injuries.

The Adams County Sheriff's Department said the boy was driving the 2007 Honda south on North 60th at 2:51 p.m., when a southbound 2003 Chevrolet S-10 truck driven by a 16-year-old Quincy boy attempted to pass him.

The two vehicles collided at the intersection as the dirt bike attempted to turn eastbound onto Ewbanks.

The 16-year-old driver was not injured.

Assisting were the Tri-Township Fire Department and Adams County Ambulance Service.
