Hagerstown, MD :Serious accident on Interstate-70, eastbound lane shut down on Tuesday, July 7th 2015

A Maryland State Police helicopter was called to transport a victim of a car crash that occurred near the 33 mile marker of Interstate-70 eastbound, according to Washington County dispatch.Dispatch said the accident was called in around 2:21 p.m., and is located between the number 32 Dual Highway exit and the number 35 Mapleville Road exit. The victim had to be extricated from the vehicle and sustained "serious" injuries, according to dispatch.Dispatch said one lane of I-70 eastbound will be closed until the accident can be cleared.At this time, there is no further information about the number of vehicles involved or any other victims.
