Wayne Township, OH : 74-year-old James Rucker ejected and killed after a head-on crash with a tractor-trailer in Butler County on Monday night, April 6, 2015

The driver of a pick up truck was ejected from his vehicle and died after hitting a tractor trailer on State Route 73 (Trenton Oxford Rd.) in Butler County.

The Butler County Sheriff’s Office and Wayne Township Fire and EMS to the area just east of Jacksonburg Road at about 9 p.m. for reports of a head-on collision.

Medics pronounced the driver of the pickup truck, 74-year-old James Rucker of Hamilton, dead at the scene. Butler County traffic units closed S.R. 73 between Jacksonburg and Wehr roads so they could reconstruct the crash.

The official cause of death was found to be multiple traumatic injuries.

The state route remained closed until 6 a.m. Tuesday so crews could remove the tractor trailer from the roadway, deputies said.
