Omaha ,. NE : 28- Years old Person loses control of car crashes into wooden pole along I-480 on Sunday morning , January 18th 2015

Members of the Omaha Police Accident Investigation Squad were dispatched to the area of Interstate 480 and Martha Street at 11:40 a.m. Sunday.

An investigation revealed that a Ford F-150 pickup was traveling northbound on Interstate 480 and exiting at Martha Street when the driver, Efrain Mendoza-Vasquez, 28, lost control of the vehicle due to a possible medical condition and collided with a wooden telephone pole.

Mendoza-Vasquez suffered a broken right leg and laceration to his abdomen in the crash, and was admitted to the University of Nebraska Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Mendoza-Vasquez was cited for DUS, fixed object collide and failure to maintain lane.

Alcohol is not a factor in this crash. The case is still under investigation.
