SYRACUSE, NY : A three-vehicle collision on a Syracuse street on Monday, December, 18th 2017

Authorities say six children are recovering from non-threatening injuries suffered in a three-vehicle collision on a Syracuse street.

Syracuse police say one of the vehicles came into contact with a second vehicle traveling in the opposite direction around 9 a.m. Monday. A third vehicle then made contact with the second vehicle.

Police say two children, ages 9 and 11, were injured in the first vehicle, while four others, ages 1, 3, 5 and 9, in the second vehicle were also hurt. All were taken to Upstate University Hospital. Officers say the woman driving the first vehicle and the man driving the second suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the third vehicle wasn’t injured.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
