Port Hudson, LA : Woman dies in three -vehicle crash in north EBR Parish on Thursday December 31 2015.

Authorities are investigating a three-vehicle crash that left one woman dead on New Year’s Eve.
Louisiana State Police identified her as Joycelyn Tennart, 45, of Zachary.
Troopers reported the wreck happened on US 61 at West Flanacher Road near Port Hudson around 8 p.m.
Tpr. Bryan Lee with LSP said the initial investigation showed Tennart was headed east on West Flanacher in a 2001 Saturn car and failed to yield at the intersection with US 61.
He added she pulled in front of a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Marion Fuller, 71, that was headed south on US 61 and the truck hit the car on the driver’s side.
Lee said the impact forced the two vehicles into the other lane on US 61 and into a 2012 GMC Acadia driven by a 16-year-old boy.
According to Lee, Tennert was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene by the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office. He also stated Fuller and the teen suffered moderate injuries.
Investigators said it is unknown if impairment was a factor in the crash, but as in all deadly crashes on Louisiana highways, blood samples were taken from all three drivers.
The crash remains under investigation.
