A head on collision from Saturday night sent six people to the hospital, with one occupant being pronounced dead some time later.
At approximately 9:30 p.m, West Warwick Police and Fire responded to a reported head on collision in the area of 717 Providence Street.
According to police, four adults and two juveniles were transported to Providence Hospitals: Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children's Hospital.The injuries were initially reported as non-life-threatening.
The department says investigators learned that one of the passengers, identified at 70-year-old Ferial Alrifel, of West Warwick, was pronounced deceased. A cause of death has not been determined yet.
The remaining occupants, except for one juvenile have been treated and released from the hospital.
