Piedmont, AL : Two killed in a single-vehicle crash Thursday night in Cherokee County on August 28, 2014

Alabama State Troopers say two people were killed in a single-vehicle crash Thursday night in Cherokee County. The accident happened at 8:35 p.m. on U.S. 278 five miles east of Piedmont. Nikki Stancil, 24, of Piedmont, was driving the car, along with passenger Michael Barnwell, 31, of Anniston. Troopers said the two were killed when their car left the roadway and overturned.
