MILES, IA : Sabula motorcyclist killed in single-vehicle wreck in Jackson County near U.S. 52 and 114th Street on Saturday, 7th September 2019

Authorities said a Sabula motorcyclist died from injuries sustained in a wreck Saturday in Jackson County.

According to an Iowa State Patrol report, John Cole Jr., 52, was driving a motorcycle near U.S. 52 and 114th Street at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday. He drove off the roadway and into a ditch, where he struck an embankment.

Cole was thrown from the motorcycle, according to the report.

The crash remains under investigation.
