A Hazleton died in motorcycle crash on Tomhicken Road in Black Creek Township early this morning, state police at Hazleton said.

Michael Rush, 52, was operating a burgundy Harley-Davidson motorcycle headed east on the Tomhicken Road when he struck a guardrail while negotiating a left curve at 1:40 a.m., police said.

Rush was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene, police said. He was not wearing a helmet, police said.

Troopers are still investigating the crash.
