Authorities said a 2-year-old girl was ejected from a vehicle following a crash Friday afternoon.

The crash was first reported at 3:40 p.m. Friday at Amargosa and King Ranch roads. According to Victorville Sheriff's Station deputy Jeff Dean, a gold Mazda MPV van was pulling out of the parking lot in front of Office Max to head north on Amargosa Road and was struck on the driver’s side by a black Nissan Altima, which was headed south.

The young girl was ejected from the van as a result of the collision.

San Bernardino County Fire Department public information officer Ryan Vacarro said a medical helicopter was requested and she was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center.

Amargosa Road is completely shut down at King Ranch Road. It is not yet known when the road will be open again.
