A teenager killed in a Lauderdale Lakes collision has been identified, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.
J. Rony-Ray Georges, 19, of Lauderhill, died after the 1998 Honda Civic he was driving struck one of two cars making left turns onto Northwest 37th Street from State Road 7, investigators said.
The Civic was driving south on State Road 7 about 10:30 p.m. Sunday when two northbound cars were turning onto westbound 37th Street, witnesses told investigators.
The Civic hit the passenger side of one car, veered off the road, and crashed into a concrete city monument across from a water treatment plant, officials said.
The other drive, Marie Desrosiers, 54, of Lauderdale Lakes, was uninjured, investigators said.
