Two people died as a result of a single-vehicle traffic accident Saturday night in Warren Township, according to the Lake County sheriff’s office.

About 9:30 p.m., an Audi driven by a 23-year-old man from Waukegan was traveling west on Stearns School Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle, according to a news release from Chris Covelli, a sheriff’s office spokesman.

The Audi struck a guardrail on the side of the road, according to the statement. A passenger in the vehicle, a 23-year-old man of Hainesville, was not wearing his seat belt and was partially ejected, the statement said.
