Dothan,AL : 2 injured in Marianna crash on August, Tuesday 15th 2017

Officials say that at approximately 9:03 a.m. Tuesday, an officer with the Marianna Police Department was on routine patrol when he observed a traffic crash at Lafayette Street and State Road 73 North. The officer stopped and immediately rendered aid at the scene. Traffic was diverted for a short period of time, due to the disabled vehicles obstructing traffic.

During the traffic crash investigation, officers determined that a 2015 Hyundai passenger vehicle, operated by Robert Arthur Hoff of Marianna, was traveling south on SR 73 North. The second vehicle involved, a 1995 Ford truck operated by Thomas Basford of Marianna, was traveling west on Lafayette Street.

Officials say it was determined that the Hyundai passenger vehicle violated the right of way and pulled into the path of the Ford truck. This caused the Ford to collide with the Hyundai. The driver of the Hyundai and a passenger of the Ford truck were transported to Jackson Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
