GLENDALE, CO : A Colorado man has died following a single-vehicle accident on Saturday, August 26, 2017

A Colorado man has died following a single-vehicle accident Saturday near the top of Mt. Reuben Road near Glendale.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call Saturday afternoon about a vehicle over a steep embankment.

An emergency crew investigated and found a 2017 Subaru Outback about a quarter of a mile over the embankment with a deceased male in the driver's seat.

The man was identified as 35-year-old Angus Leslie Graham of Carbondale, Colorado.

Because of the complexity of the recovery and concern for the safety of the rescuers, the recovery effort was postponed until Sunday morning when they were able to get enough personnel and equipment.

Members of the Douglas County Search and Rescue's Mountain Rescue were able to recover the body from the vehicle Sunday.

The Sheriff's office said Graham was wearing a safety belt at the time of the crash.

The Glendale Fire Department and Glendale Ambulance along with a crew from the Douglas Forest Protective Association also responded to the scene.
