Gainesville, FL : Williston man killed in single-car crash on Sunday October 2nd 2016

A Williston man was killed in in a single-car crash on U.S. 41 in Levy County Sunday evening.

Juan Garcia Cruz, 20, was alone in a 2001 Saturn traveling north on the highway around 7:05 p.m. when the accident occurred, according to a Florida Highway Patrol media release.

The car went onto the east shoulder of the road, and Cruz lost control. The car spun around, its left side hit a utility pole, and then it rolled over.

Cruz was killed in the accident. He was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said.
