PADUCAH, KY : 2 die in crash during police pursuit in western Kentucky on Wednesday, 4th August 2021

Two people have died from injuries suffered in a crash that occurred during a police pursuit in western Kentucky, authorities said.

An initial investigation found that Lamont X. Young, 27, of De Soto, Illinois, fled from a McCracken County Sheriff’s deputy who was trying to arrest him, Kentucky State Police said in a statement. Young drove a Honda Civic west toward an intersection, where he failed to stop at a traffic light and collided with a Ford Explorer, police said.
