West Palm Beach, FL : Man, 23, died in West Palm-area wreck on Friday, February 3, 2017

A 23-year-old man died Friday night in a crash in suburban West Palm Beach, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said Saturday morning.

Eric R. Tarmey was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, on Military Trail near Community Drive. A place of residence for Tarmey was not immediately available.

A 24-year-old man, Kevin D. Brown Jr. of West Palm Beach, was taken to a hospital in serious condition following the wreck.

A sheriff’s office report released Saturday morning said Brown was driving on Military at a high rate of speed in a 2010 Nissan. Tarmey was southbound on Military in a 2010 Volkswagon and turned left into the nortbound lanes. Brown’s car struck the passenger’s side of Tarmey’s vehicle.
