GAFFNEY, S.C. : 3 taken to the hospital after truck crashes into house in Gaffney, officials say on Wednesday, 17th July 2024 on Wednesday, 17th July 2024

Cherokee County Emergency Management said three people were taken to the hospital after a truck crashed into a house in Gaffney on Wednesday.

Highway Patrol said a flatbed truck was pulling a trailer on I-85 when the driver lost control, hitting another pickup truck. The driver then ran off the right side of the road, through a fence and into the house of Overbrook Drive.

Officials said the incident occurred at around 10 a.m.

Cowpens Fire said they were called to assist Macedonia Fire to stabilize the structure as other firefighters were assiting the patients involved in the crash and the fuel leak.
