Port Charlotte, FL : An Englewood man was seriously injured in a moped crash on May, Wednesday 3rd 2017

An Englewood man was seriously injured in a moped crash on Wednesday afternoon. Thomas Knipe, 66, was driving a 2013 TaoTao Moped on State Road 776 when a 2013 Prius pulled out in front of him.

The driver, Anne Romano, 67, was approaching the Dollar General store at 410 N. Indiana Ave., when she merged from the left-turn lane into the right lane. Knipe failed to observe Romano’s vehicle, and the front of his moped collided with the passenger side of the Prius.
