MARION COUNTY, KS : 2 people killed in Marion County crash on Thursday, 20th June 2024
The Kansas Highway Patrol says two people were killed in a crash Thursday morning on Highway 50 in Marion County.
Trooper Ben Gardener with the KHP says the crash happened at approximately 6:30 a.m. Thursday on Highway 50 west of Florence.
The two-vehicle collision killed two people, the KHP says. Each vehicle had a single occupant and driver.
KHP crash logs indicate that the driver of a 2017 GMC Acadia, identified as 41-year-old Travis Flasschoen of Wichita, was eastbound on US 50. The driver of the second vehicle, a 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by 71-year-old John Ireland of Cottonwood Falls, was driving westbound on US 50.
