Milwaukee police say a 32-year-old Milwaukee woman was behind the wheel of a car that crashed into a 48-year-old man on Monday evening, killing him. Police have identified the man but are not releasing his name until his family has been notified. He was hit by a westbound vehicle about 6:30 p.m. Monday while crossing W. Becher St. at S. 8th St., police said. The driver, who has not been publicly identified, remained at the scene, cooperated with the investigation and was released from the scene, according to a police news release issued Tuesday.
