DUVAL COUNTY, FL : Bicyclist killed in hit-and-run crash on MLK Parkway on Friday, 26th April 2024

A bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway Friday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP said around 9 p.m., a black SUV traveling southbound, near Haines Street, struck the bicyclist while he was crossing the roadway.The black SUV left the scene, according to the FHP report.

The bicyclist, who was a man from Jacksonville, died at a local hospital.
