Joplin, MO : Lawrence County woman killed in crash on Highway 65 in Christian County on Friday morning, October 28, 2016

A woman from Verona in Lawrence County was killed in an early-morning crash today on Highway 65 near Saddlebrooke in Christian County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Verlane M. Godfrey, 51, was southbound on the highway shortly before 7 a.m. today when her vehicle ran off the road and hit a rock bluff, the patrol said.
