Mobile, AL : Stephanie Lucas Cain died in High speed crash on Washington Ave. on Thursday, January 22, 2015

Mobile Police responded to Washington Avenue at Tennessee Street for a report of a car accident with injuries.

A 2003 BMW was traveling north on Washington Ave. at a high rate of speed according to police when the driver lost control and collided with a building and ending up against a utility pole.

The driver, Stephanie Lucas Cain of Mobile, was transported to USA Medical Center where she later died of her injuries. A 21 year-old female passenger received minor injuries.

The contributing factor in this collision was speed, according to police.
