BOLTON, MA :One person was killed in a rollover crash on I-495 on Sunday, July 2, 2017

One person was killed in a rollover crash on I-495 on Sunday afternoon, and another person is in critical condition.

Troopers from the state police barracks in Leominster responded to the crash at 4:05 p.m. on the northbound side of I-495 at exit 27.

State police said a 2004 Mercury tried to take exit 27, but lost control and rolled over. Both occupants were ejected from the vehicle.

A woman was transported by LifeFlight helicopter to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester with life-threatening injuries. A man was transported by ambulance to Marlborough Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police have not yet released the names of the victims.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but speed is believed to be a factor.
