ESCAMBIA COUNTY, AL : Atmore teen seriously injured in head-on crash on County Road 99 on Wednesday, 9th January 2019

A teenager and another driver were seriously injured in a head-on crash on County Road 99 in Escambia County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Justin Elliott, 19, of Atmore, was driving north when he crossed into oncoming traffic around 7:50 p.m. Wednesday.

Elliot's 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe struck a southbound 2017 Jeep Cherokee driven by Patricia Griener, 28, of Brewton.

Elliot was rushed to Baptist Hospital by helicopter. Griener was taken by helicopter to Sacred Heart Hospital. Both are stable, according to authorities.
