Birmingham, AL :18-wheeler accident shuts down lanes of I-59 NB on Tuesday, July 14th 2015

A traffic accident has shut down three of the four lanes of I-59 Northbound Tuesday afternoon at Arkadelphia Road.According to the Birmingham Police Department, an 18-wheeler was involved in a wreck sometimes this afternoon. The wreck also caused a fuel spill.No one was injured in the accident.As of 2:30 p.m., three lanes of traffic were closed as a result.The Alabama Department of Transportation and the Emergency Management Agency are on the scene assisting.Stay up-to-date with traffic conditions in the WVTM 13 weather app.
