Stearns County, MN : 1 injured in Stearns County crash on Wednesday, 24th April 2019

Authorities say one person suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening after a crash in Stearns County Wednesday night.

A release from the Stearns County Sheriff's Office said a Honda Civic driven by 17-year-old Amy Dukowitz was southbound on Island Lake Road when her vehicle was struck by a GMC Acadia driven by 16-year-old Emma Zimmer.

The sheriff's office said both vehicles ended up in a ditch.

Dukowitz was unable to exit her vehicle and had to be assisted by emergency responders. She was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.

Zimmer left the scene with her family and later went to the hospital for minor injuries.
