A Gibsonville man was killed in a wreck on US 74 in the Delco area Wednesday night.
According to Sgt. W.B. Ezzell with the State Highway Patrol, Preston Sean Freeman, 25, died in the wreck which occurred at approximately 10 p.m. near the intersection with Highway 87.
Ezzell said that Freeman was traveling west on US 74 at a high-rate of speed when a Honda passenger car made a left turn in front of him and the two vehicles collided.
According to Ezzell, the driver of the Honda, Tresean Alonzo Daniels, will not be cited because of the high rate of speed Freeman was traveling.
Daniels and a passenger in the Honda suffered injuries in the wreck and were taken to the hospital.
