Newton, IA : A 67-year-old Kellogg man died in a single-vehicle accident in Marshall County on Wednesday, January, 3rd 2018

A 67-year-old Kellogg man died in a single-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon in Marshall County.

The accident happened around 4 p.m. when Mark G. Haunsperger was driving a Toyota Corolla east on 290th Street, according to the Iowa State Patrol. As he approached Sanford Avenue, he reportedly entered the south ditch.

The vehicle vaulted onto Sanford Avenue, landed on the driver’s side roof and came to a stop in a ravine. Haunsperger was pronounced dead at the scene.
