LE ROY, NY : Woman identified in car/pedestrian crash on Thursday, January 26th 2017

A Lake Street woman was injured when she “stepped into” a passing car on Route 19 Monday night, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.
Judith Nye, 68, was walking in the southbound lane about 9 p.m. The driver of the car, Michael Merica, 33, of Pavilion told deputies he saw Nye and attempted to swerve but she hit the side of his car. She suffered arm and possible internal injuries and was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital.
No charges have been filed.
