Debary, FL : 76-year-old man struck and killed by van in Volusia County on Tuesday, December 8, 2015

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office says it is investigating a fatal traffic crash involving a pedestrian in DeBary.

The crash was reported at the intersection of Charles R. Beall Boulevard and Highbanks Road in DeBary just before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. A caller reported a white Chevrolet van struck a man in the roadway on Highbanks, near a Walgreens.

On Wednesday, authorities identified the victim as Victor Davis, 76, of Senoia, Georgia.

Deputies said the victim was not in a crosswalk and it was very dark out at the time.

The driver, Keith McGee, 43, stayed at the scene.

No charges have been filed, but the case remains under investigation.
