One person was killed and another was hospitalized in a crash involving a motorcycle and pedestrian Thursday evening in Central Lubbock.
About 7:40 p.m., Lubbock Police were called to the 2100 block of 50th Street, said LPD spokeswoman Kasie Whitley.
The pedestrian was identified as 33-year-old Quisha Rotay Cook, who was pronounced deceased at the scene, said LPD spokeswoman Tiffany Pelt.
She said the driver of the motorcycle, 27-year-old Marcus Mendoza, was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries. Pelt said his injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
