Lovington, NM : 61-year-old Robin A. Merritt's killed when car collides with horse on State Road 206 in Lea County on Wednesday evening, Nov 11, 2015

A Lovington man was killed Wednesday evening when he collided with a horse in the middle of State Road 206 in Lea County.
New Mexico State Police, which is investigating the crash, said the crash happened near the intersection of Dakota Road.
61-year-old Robin A. Merritt's car was damaged extensively and Merritt died from his injuries.
State police say the crash is still under investigation.
