Rancho San Diego, CA : Eight transported to hospital after head-on collision in Rancho San Diego on Sunday, 15th December, 2019

Eight people were taken to the hospital, two with major injuries, after a van and a car collided head-on early Sunday in Rancho San Diego, a fire official said.

The collision was reported shortly before 3 a.m. on Explorer Road near Explorer Place, San Miguel Fire & Rescue Battalion Chief Jason Floyd told OnScene TV.A third vehicle involved in the crash fled the scene, he said.

Floyd said all eight injured people were transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital for treatment.

No other details were immediately available.
