JANESVILLE, WI : Deadly Janesville crash police identify as suspect vehicle from earlier on Thursday, 21st March 2024

The Janesville Police Department said a person died from crashing into a building and a utility pole after being pursued earlier in the evening by police officers. The pursuit had ended before the crash occurred.

At 6:39 p.m. on Thursday, dispatch received a call about a sport utility vehicle speeding northbound on North Oakhill Ave. near Linden Ave. An officer arrived but couldn't locate the suspect vehicle.

Police said at about 7:13 p.m., a patrol officer attempted to pull over the vehicle when they found it driving southbound on N. Parker Dr. at Blackridge Rd.
