PORTSMOUTH, RI : 2 hospitalized, neighborhood without power after multi-car crash in Portsmouth on Saturday, 5th August 2023

Three cars and a logging truck crashed in Portsmouth, knocking out power, and sending two people to the hospital Saturday.

According to the Portsmouth Assistant Fire Chief, Howie Tighe, the crash happened at around 2:09 p.m. on East Main Road

The driver of the car that was crushed was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries. A second victim was taken to an area hospital with a minor head injuries.
