EAST LIVERPOOL, OH : 2 flown to hospital following accident on Monday, 9th April 2018
Two people were flown by medical helicopter from a two-vehicle crash early Monday morning on state Route 39.
City police officers and firefighters responded at 12:32 a.m. to the accident which resulted in both drivers being trapped in their vehicles, according to reports from the fire department.
Police reports were not available Monday, but according to fire reports, a male driver was extricated from his truck by EMS without tools, while the the female driver of the other vehicle was extricated by firefighters using rescue tools.
Both were flown by STAT MedEvac helicopters to unspecified medical facilities, the male from the field near the Dollar General in East End and the female from the cloverleaf on West Eighth Street.
Neither driver was identified in fire reports, although it was noted one of the cars involved was owned by Aaron Carter, Michigan Avenue.
The vehicles were removed from the scene by First Class Towing and Calcutta Towing.
