Authorities say a 32-year-old Shelby Township man was hit by a car Saturday morning while standing in the street.
The incident happened in the area of Dequindre Road and Morley Avenue at 2:49 a.m. Police say the man was in the road when he was hit by a Chrysler 200.
Alcohol does not appear to have been a factor for the driver of the Chrysler 200, but the man who was hit appeared to have been under the influence of alcohol.
The man was taken to McLaren Oakland Hospital in critical but stable condition. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
