Police were investigating a deadly crash in Colorado Springs on Thursday.
The crash happened at about 2 in the afternoon in the 5600 block of North Academy Boulevard. The area is between N. Union Boulevard and Dublin Boulevard.
Investigators say a pickup truck had hit a parked SUV pinning a woman between the two vehicles. Both first responders and bystanders executed life-saving efforts. The woman died from her injuries.
Authorities believe the woman was the driver of the pickup truck that was involved. After getting out of her vehicle it is believed she didn't put it in park. The pickup then moved forward and pinned her against a legally parked and unoccupied SUV.
