Fayette, TN: One airlifted from crash on I-40 near Shelby County line on Wednesday ,July 15th 2015

Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a two-car crash on eastbound Interstate-40 near mile marker 40.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff's Department, paramedics called in an airwing and landed it on the interstate, holding up traffic. THP said traffic is down to one lane.

Please avoid the area if possible.
