A Folsom woman was killed Wednesday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Orangevale, according to the California Highway Patrol.

April Hardin, 34, was driving a 2012 Honda Civic about 6 p.m. west on Greenback Lane near Hazel Avenue, the CHP said.

Andrea Quinn, 37, of Orangevale, was driving a 2003 Ford F-350 east on Greenback Lane near Beech Avenue, officers said.

For an unknown reason, Hardin made a left turn across the eastbound lanes directly in front of Quinn, causing Quinn's truck to broadside the right side of Hardin's vehicle, according to investigators.

Hardin was pronounced dead at the scene. Quinn was taken to Mercy San Juan with a complaint of pain, the CHP said.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
