Kannapolis ,NC : Tractor-trailer crash closes part of I-85 in Cabarrus County on Wednesday morning ,June 10th 2015

Part of Interstate 85 in Kannapolis was shut down early Wednesday morning following a crash involving two tractor-trailers. The roadway slowly started reopening around 6:30 a.m.

The crash happened around 2:45 a.m. on I-85 southbound at mile marker 62, near Dale Earnhardt Boulevard.

DOT crews cleaned the roadway after they say one of the tractor-trailers spilled 80 gallons of diesel fuel.

One of the drivers was taken to the hospital.

No word on exactly what caused the crash.
